Lord Cardross A.M.G.P.

Harry Cardross is the artist and designer at Cardross Glass, and has been working and designing with glass since graduating from the Central School in the early eighties.

Harry formed Cardross Glass in 2006 to continue his work independently, after a long and successful relationship with a well known London art glass fabricator.

With the assistance of his partner Robin Osmani, Harry works from his London studio, where he provides a design, consultancy and fabrication service for a wide variety of new architectural art glass projects.

Harry works with some traditional craft techniques and, increasingly, with new processes and materials, to create individual bespoke pieces for his customers.

In an interview for FX magazine, Harry tried to sum up his approach to commissions: 'A glass artwork has to perform many functions, spiritual, aesthetic, architectural, and technical. This may suggest a traditional approach, an entirely contemporary solution, or more interestingly a combination of traditional and new approaches. But in every case, the glass has to respond to its surroundings, to history, and to the personality of the customer'.

Harry enjoys many other interests in the art and design world, as well as enjoying music, skiing and motor racing.

Robin Osmani

Robin is the organiser and public voice of the studio, project managing commissions and looking after clients.

In a career that has included work as a BBC TV presenter and print and radio journalism, Robin has had extensive experience in public relations and the organisation of complex media projects. This translates ideally into the coordination of our studio, the promotion of our work, and the publicity for our demanding and style conscious customers.
